The Solar Sales Associate plays a critical role as the first point of contact for a prospective client at NextGen Electric and supports the sales team and project management team in working with prospective clients to answer their questions about solar energy, assess the feasibility of a solar project at their home or business, and aids in the development of a system design and project proposal to help them make the switch to solar. Key responsibilities will include: client relationship building, information gathering, process documentation, and preliminary site evaluation. The Solar Sales Associate will manage new inquiries and interact with clients in person and via phone and email, and will assist as needed with gathering and analyzing information, and developing project proposals. This position requires a high level of independence and self-direction as well as the ability to work within a fast-paced team setting. This is a full-time position based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
 

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

  • Experience in customer/client service with an outgoing and engaging approach to relationship building
  • Exemplary communication skills (including: in-person, phone and written) including the ability to communicate complex information so it can be easily understood
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and self-direction skills, and an ability to see commitments to completion
  • Experience with various software packages required (particularly Excel), additional experience with database management (CRM) or 3D Drafting (CAD) software valued
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in regards to costs and system design
  • Passionate about solar energy, green building, and the building a team
  • Flexible thinker and team player who is willing to pitch in where needed
  • Tireless, upbeat personality with unending curiosity

Bonus Qualifications:

  • SEI or equivalent solar training or certification

We started out serving Coeur d’Alene in 2013 with one electrician in one van. We have now expanded and continue to grow our presence in Idaho, Washington and throughout the Pacific Northwest.

In addition to our growing stream of residential and commercial projects, we continue to foster relationships with homeowners and business that invest in large solar installation projects creating a fast passed work environment with generating diverse experience.

We are seeking a full-time, licensed electrician to become a key team-member in our close-knit, family-like company.
 

Applicant Requirements:

  • Idaho & and/or Washington Journeyman Electrical License
  • Current driver’s license
  • Comfortable with heights and working on roof tops
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of residential electrical, building, and roofing systems
  • Fully comprehends electrical theory and current electrical codes
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Install and troubleshoot wiring
  • Layout & preparation for installation
  • Install feeders
  • Wire & conduit sizing
  • Terminate cable

Job Functions:

  • New construction rough-in
  • Installation of conduits using a hand bender
  • Install new wire in existing systems or repairing old wiring
  • Troubleshooting all systems
  • Providing power and controls to motors and other equipment
  • Installing lighting control, and energy management systems
  • Mounting panel boards, transformers, switch gear, transfer switches, and other systems
  • Communicating with utility companies, inspectors, and contractors
  • Representing Next Gen Electric in the field and being a point of contact for our customers
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude at all times
